USE:
The Library desires to make its equipment available to cultural, educational, and civic groups sponsored by local citizens, provided such use does not interfere with the equipment use by the library and meetings are conducted for purposes which are non-commercial.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Any group or person using any of the Library’s equipment shall be held responsible for willful or accidental damage to any equipment with the exception of one burned out bulb per use.
APPLICATION:
Written application for use shall be made by completing the approved equipment use form by a qualified officer or representative of the organization and addressed to the Administrative Librarian. This person must have a Metropolitan Library System or Palos Heights Public Library card.
RESCINDING USE PRIVILEGES:
If the foregoing rules and regulations are not adhered to by the individual or organization, the Board reserves the right to withdraw the privilege of the use of the equipment.
CHARGES:
The equipment may be checked out for a 48-hour period. There will be no charge for the use of the equipment except for any damages as determined by the Administrative Librarian or a late fee of $5 per day.
EXCEPTIONS:
Any request for exceptions to the above rules should be submitted in writing through the Administrative Librarian to the Library Board of Trustees before its next regularly scheduled board meeting.
