The Palos Heights Public Library is a community gathering place for lifelong learning and has children and adults of all ages in their building at all times. The Palos Heights Public Library follows Illinois State Law (Public Act 98-63, the Firearms Concealed Carry Act, 430 ILCS 66) which prohibits the carrying of any weapon, concealed or partially concealed, in any building, real property, or parking area under the control of a public library.
In conformance with State Statute, the Library will post at all entrances to the building, driveways, and parking areas of the Library the required signs as approved by the State Police. Any violators will be reported to law enforcement and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
